Pirates Star Reveals His Message To Red Hot Saleng
Orlando Pirates veteran attacker Ndumiso Mabena says he doesn’t like to say much to teammate Monnapule Saleng who has been grabbing the headlines, except just to keep encouraging him to always enjoy his game.
Saleng is enjoying a good campaign having contributed 12 goals and five assists for the Buccaneers in all competitions so far.
He has also been instrumental in Jose Riveiro’s side clinching the MTN 8 trophy.
Both players have traveled a similar route to professional football having been top goal scorers in the First Division on their way to earning contracts in the big league.
Speaking to iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu in edition 93 of the newspaper, Mabena says it’s important for him that the 24-year-old winger has fun on the pitch.
“You know I don’t say much to him. I always greet him you know. When we play games, I just go to him and just tell him today is your day, you know what to do, and you’ve been doing it consistently.
“So keep your head down, go enjoy the game, and don’t forget to have fun. This is your game don’t worry God will do the rest, I always tell him that,” said Mabena.
